Picture Stories

Here goes

It’s been a while since I wrote anything on this blog. Feeling frustrated with a lack of progress on the project, I tend to suffer in silence. In any case here are a couple of pics so far:

The first is Manaf a Kurdish man from Iran. Manaf lost his Asylum claim around 1 year ago. He’s not entitled to work or any form of benefit including accommodation and NHS medical care. For the last 7 months he’s slept on the floor in front of him after a friend was kind enough to let him stay in his room.

I’ve abandoned that project due to time restrictions. It’s very difficult to shoot and would be probably something I’ll come back to but our deadline is looming…

Here’s a shot from PlanB. Similar but slightly different subject matter. It’s a bit difficult to explain but the jist is to give a bit of a guide to a couple of different stages of our Asylum process. Not that this pic says that much. I think context and dignity will be the keys…

And these aren’t really part of any project but just to acknowledge the lovely Ramadan I had this year. I was made to feel very welcome over a number of nights.
